A Galaxy Eternity
Websters 1828 Dictionary defines eternity as without beginning or end. I’ve been taught that my whole life, so I don’t really know who I think I am to disagree with bro Webster now, but I do.
(Webster 1828 Dictionary) ETER’NITY, noun [Latin oeternitas.] Duration or continuance without beginning or end.
Why do I disagree with bro Webster? Because 1. the scriptures teach us that Christ is the beginning and ending of one eternal round. Because 2. the King Follett discourse teaches us that God the Father is a created being who was on an earth just like you and I. I do not believe that God the Father is the universe, God the Father is part of the universe. I believe that God the Father was created from the universe, the same way you and I are created from the universe. Therefore I see eternity as having three levels.
- The Universe Eternity: The eternity associated with the Universe follows Websters definition, having no beginning, and no end. The universe eternity is made up of endless space composed of endless light and intelligence. Part of the endless space and matter of the universe, are all the unborn and uncreated intelligences that will at some point become part of a creation.
- The Galaxy Eternity: A galaxy is a creation of the Universe, and therefore it has a beginning, but no end. It’s at this point that the spiritual / physical creation of God and man have a beginning. The galaxy is the Kingdom of God and the throne of God is the central point in each galaxy.
- The Solar System Eternity: The solar system is a creation of the Galaxy. The solar system is the building block of the galaxy, which through Christ has both a beginning and an end, described as one eternal round.
Jesus is the Alpha and Omega of One Eternal Round
In the Doctrine and Covenants the Lord Jesus Christ declares his Godhood in no less than 12 sections, reiterating the essential facts, that he is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Then with each repetition he graces us with additional information to enlarge our understanding of his Godhood.
In section 35 Jesus Christ declares himself the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Of what? Certainly not the universe, the universe has no beginning and no end.
(D&C 35:1) 1 LISTEN to the voice of the Lord your God, even Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end…
The next phrase of verse 1 tells us that the course that Jesus takes is one eternal round. So, Christ is teaching us that he is the beginning, and end of something that repeats itself over and over again eternally. We are in one of those rounds right now, on this earth. Jesus Christ provides the eternal round for each successive spirit generation to come to an earth and to experience a temporal probation. This creation round will never end because there is no end to the universe. The universe is not the eternal round because the universe is constant and unchanging, without beginning and without end.
(D&C 35:1) 1 … , whose course is one eternal round,
Then the last phrase of verse one supports the idea that the earth creation is an eternal round. Today and yesterday are terms dealing with time, terms that only apply on a telestial earth, in its temporal state which has a beginning and an end. Christ’s work of creating telestial worlds in this eternal loop, forever.
(D&C 35:1) 1 … the same today as yesterday, and forever.
The Book of Mormon describes the telestial part of the eternal round, as the temporal existence in the days of our probation.
(1 Nephi 15:32) 32 And it came to pass that I said unto them that it was a representation of things both temporal and spiritual; for the day should come that they must be judged of their works, yea, even the works which were done by the temporal body in their days of probation.
(2 Nephi 2:19 – 21) 19 And after Adam and Eve had partaken of the forbidden fruit they were driven out of the garden of Eden, to till the earth. 20 And they have brought forth children; yea, even the family of all the earth. 21 And the days of the children of men were prolonged, according to the will of God, that they might repent while in the flesh; wherefore, their state became a state of probation, and their time was lengthened, according to the commandments which the Lord God gave unto the children of men. For he gave commandment that all men must repent; for he showed unto all men that they were lost, because of the transgression of their parents.
Christ begins and ends not just this earth and solar system, but many earths and solar systems within this galaxy. All these creations that takes place inside the galaxy are innumerable to man but they are numbered unto God, because they belong to him, he created them. God did not create the universe, it has always existed and there is no beginning or ending of it. There is no creation in the universe without God and Christ. So the only things that are countable are those worlds within a galaxy that God creates.
(Moses 1:32 – 35) 32 And by the word of my power, have I created them, which is mine Only Begotten Son, who is full of grace and truth. 33 And worlds without number have I created; and I also created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten. 34 And the first man of all men have I called Adam, which is many. 35 But only an account of this earth, and the inhabitants thereof, give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away by the word of my power. And there are many that now stand, and innumerable are they unto man; but all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine and I know them.
In section 38 Jesus restates that he is the alpha and omega and then describes how at the beginning of the creative process, he looked down upon the seraphic hosts who will participate in the creative round. He also contemplates the space into which he create new worlds for all those seraphic hosts to dwell upon. Christ is not looking at the wide expanse of the universe which has no beginning or end, just the space necessary for a small little solar system which houses an inhabitable earth.
(D&C 38:1) 1 THUS saith the Lord your God, even Jesus Christ, the Great I AM, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the same which looked upon the wide expanse of eternity, and all the seraphic hosts of heaven, before the world was made;
Abraham also describes this creative process. The Lord sees empty space in the universe with materials that he can use to make an earth. The universe is used for the creation of man and the worlds the seraphic hosts are to inhabit.
(Abraham 3:24) 24 And there stood one among them that was like unto God, and he said unto those who were with him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell;
In section 45 Jesus Christ repeats that he begins and ends the creative process, then continues by telling us that he is the light and life of world. Christ is not the light and life of the universe, only of those worlds which he creates. Life and light is created when a world is created. Where does a world exist? Only within a galaxy silly!
(D&C 45:7) 7 For verily I say unto you that I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the light and the life of the world—a light that shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehendeth it not.
(3 Nephi 9:17 – 18) 17 And as many as have received me, to them have I given to become the sons of God; and even so will I to as many as shall believe on my name, for behold, by me redemption cometh, and in me is the law of Moses fulfilled. 18 I am the light and the life of the world. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
John tells us the same things. Christ created all things within the world wherein the light and life of men is found. Christ didn’t create all things in the universe because the universe is unending and uncreated, it’s in the galaxy where the eternal round of creation takes place.
(John 1:3 – 4) 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
In section 54 Jesus Christ declares again that he is the alpha beginning and then tells us he was crucified for the sins of the worlds which he creates during the eternal round. Christ was not crucified for the sins of the universe, the universe contains uncreated intelligences who do not yet need a savior, they have not received their spiritual / physical creation.
(D&C 54:1) 1 BEHOLD, thus saith the Lord, even Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, even he who was crucified for the sins of the world—
In section 1 Christ reiterates that he is the beginning and the end and then describes the eternal round using terms that describe his life and work on our telestial planet: The Lord is and was and is to come.
(Revelation 1:8) 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
This is the same as Christ describing himself as the first and the last, he who was dead and yet is alive. Christ is the first and creates the earth, he is the last and destroys the earth, he condescends to this earth and dies and is resurrected. Does this mean that our Lord and Savior is the only savior for the whole universe, which has no beginning and no end. That doesn’t make sense, I don’t believe that doctrine. I believe that there is a progression of the Gods and that we become a Christ and offer ourselves for the worlds that we create in the galaxy.
(Revelation 22:13) 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
(Revelation 2:8) 8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
(D&C 110:4) 4 I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father.
Which leads us to Isaiah, where Christ forces us to deal with the question, when he tells us not only that he is the first and the last, but that besides him there is no God. I believe that being a Christ is an office that is filled at the beginning of each eternal round through the progression taught in the King Follett discourse.
(Isaiah 44:6) 6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Moses explains that the savior Jesus Christ would come in the meridian of time. The term ‘meridian of time’ can only be understood on a telestial planet during the creative eternal round of a solar system. The universe having no beginning and no end, cannot have a meridian. The universe is understood in eternities not time. The galaxy has a beginning but no end likewise cannot have a meridian. The only time you can have a meridian is if you have a beginning and an end. Christ provides that beginning and end and then offers himself in the meridian of time on an earth within a solar system, which is part of a galaxy inside the never ending universe. Christ creates a series of solar systems within his eternal round and within those rounds is a meridian wherein he offers himself as a sacrifice and payment for the sins of his creations.
(Moses 5:57) 57 For they would not hearken unto his voice, nor believe on his Only Begotten Son, even him whom he declared should come in the meridian of time, who was prepared from before the foundation of the world.
The Alpha Beginning
Christ is the Alpha beginning plus the scriptures teach us that in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, is there any possibility that the two beginnings are similar if not the same?
(Genesis 1:1) 1 IN the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
(Abraham 4:1) 1 AND then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, and they, that is the Gods, organized and formed the heavens and the earth.
In Moses Christ teaches us that the alpha beginning is the same as the creation beginning. Christ declares that ‘I am the Beginning and the End’ and ‘in the beginning I created the heaven and the earth upon which thou standest’. Massive eternal rounds are taking place throughout the universe in billions of galaxies. The really cool thing about it all is that there is no end to the universe for Gods to create from.
(Moses 2:1) 1 AND it came to pass that the Lord spake unto Moses, saying: Behold, I reveal unto you concerning this heaven, and this earth; write the words which I speak. I am the Beginning and the End, the Almighty God; by mine Only Begotten I created these things; yea, in the beginning I created the heaven, and the earth upon which thou standest.
(Abraham 5:4) 4 And the Gods came down and formed these the generations of the heavens and of the earth, when they were formed in the day that the Gods formed the earth and the heavens,
The King Follett tells us that understanding the creation is the starting point in understanding God.
(King Follett Discourse: A Newly Amalgamated Text) In the first place I wish to go back to the beginning of creation. There is the starting point in order to know and be fully acquainted with the mind, purposes, decrees, and ordinations of the great Elohim that sits in the heavens.
Joseph continues with the council that we must understand the character of God to understand who we are. Why? because God was once a man like us on an earth like us, and he progressed to the point of perfection where he presides over the creative process of the very heavens and earth that we now dwell on.
(King Follett Discourse: A Newly Amalgamated Text) For us to take up beginning at the creation, it is necessary for us to understand something of God himself in the beginning. If we start right, it is very easy for us to go right all the time: but if we start wrong, we may go wrong, and it is a hard matter to get right. There are very few beings, in the world, who rightly understand rightly the character of God. If men do not comprehend the character of God, they do not comprehend their own character. They cannot comprehend anything that is past, or that which is to come; They do not know–they do not understand, their own relationship with God. The world knows and comprehends but little more than the brute beast. If a man knows nothing more than to eat, drink, sleep, arise, and not any more, and does not comprehend what any of the designs of Jehovah are, what better is he than the beast, for it comprehends the same things – it eats, drinks, sleeps, comprehends the present, and knows nothing more about God or his existence.
The Omega End
In section 19 the Lord patiently informs us that he is the alpha beginning then he focus’ our attention on how he is also the omega end of the earth. The Lord tells us that his task is to subdue all things in the worlds he creates and in the omega end he destroys Satan and his works, including death itself. These tasks take place within the galaxy eternity where the creative process can take place, where the earths and their solar systems can have their beginnings and their endings.
(D&C 19:1 – 3) 1 I AM Alpha and Omega, Christ the Lord; yea, even I am he, the beginning and the end, the Redeemer of the world. 2 I, having accomplished and finished the will of him whose I am, even the Father, concerning me—having done this that I might subdue all things unto myself—3 Retaining all power, even to the destroying of Satan and his works at the end of the world, and the last great day of judgment, which I shall pass upon the inhabitants thereof, judging every man according to his works and the deeds which he hath done.
After death itself is overcome, the Lord presents the kingdom complete and whole to the Father. The universe is not the kingdom of God, the galaxy is. God and Christ did not create the universe, they created the galaxy. The universe has no beginning and no end so therefore the universe can’t be completed and delivered up. God takes space from the universe from which to create his galaxy kingdom.
(1 Corinthians 15:24 – 27) 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
(D&C 76:107) 107 When he shall deliver up the kingdom, and present it unto the Father, spotless, saying: I have overcome and have trodden the wine–press alone, even the wine–press of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God.
What is the purpose of the creative process? For the celestial seed of God to become Gods and to receive all the Father hath. The seed of God follow the same path that God himself walked.
(D&C 84:36 – 38) 36 For he that receiveth my servants receiveth me; 37 And he that receiveth me receiveth my Father; 38 And he that receiveth my Father receiveth my Father’s kingdom; therefore all that my Father hath shall be given unto him.
The creative process (within a galaxy kingdom) allows God to fulfill the purpose of his life and perfection, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of the seed of God.
(Moses 1:39 – 40) 39 For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. 40 And now, Moses, my son, I will speak unto thee concerning this earth upon which thou standest; and thou shalt write the things which I shall speak.
We are created for the express purpose to become Gods and receive all the father hath. To bring to pass the exaltation and eternal life of man is for us to become Gods.
(King Follett Discourse: A Newly Amalgamated Text) To inherit and enjoy the same glory, powers and exaltation until you ascend a throne of eternal power and arrive at the station of a God, the same as those who have gone before.
Lecture on Faith #5 teaches us that the Father and the Son are the matchless, governing and supreme power over all things. It is all too easy to conclude that ‘all things’ here is referring to all things in the universe, but I do not believe that is correct doctrine. It makes a lot more sense that God and Christ govern only those things that they create. They did not create the universe, it has always existed, it has no beginning and no end. Comparatively speaking, God and Christ takes a very small portion of the universe and create and govern all things within the confines of a galaxy. Then the celestial children that God the Father created, become Gods themselves and go off and create galaxies of their own. This is the explanation of the existence of the billions galaxies that the astronomers can see in the telescopes and that they describe as the observable universe, when in reality man cannot even begin to see let alone understand the vastness of the universe which has no beginning and no end? How can you see something that has no end. How can you hope to understand something that has no beginning?
(Lectures on Faith #5) 2 There are two personages who constitute the grand, matchless, governing and supreme power over all things (in a galaxy)—by whom all things were created and made, that are created and made (in a galaxy), whether visible or invisible; whether in heaven, on earth, or in the earth, under the earth, or throughout the immensity of space (in a galaxy)—They are the Father and the Son:
And it just so happens that Paul understood this concept and explains what is meant by ‘all things’. All things means, all things that God creates in the heavens and the earth. All things means, all things in the many solar systems that God and Christ has created over and over in the many eternal rounds. They create all the dominions, principalities and powers withing the galaxy via the building block of the solar system.
(Colossians 1:16 – 19) 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
John gives another rendition of the creation. In the beginning of the creation process was the Word, who is Jesus Christ, the alpha. The creation process cannot be talking about the universe, because the universe is not created, because the universe has always existed.
(John 1:1 – 4) 1 IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
In section 63 Jesus again teaches us that he is the alpha and omega over all and in all and through all the things that he created. Jesus did not create the universe, the universe is not created, the universe just is, the universe has always been and will always be, it has no beginning, no end, it is endless uncreated space, made up of light and intelligence. Jesus and God comes along and subjects a portion of the endless universe to their control.
(D&C 63:59 – 60) 59 Behold, I am from above, and my power lieth beneath. I am over all, and in all, and through all, and search all things, and the day cometh that all things shall be subject unto me. 60 Behold, I am Alpha and Omega, even Jesus Christ.
God Dwells on a Great Urim and Thummin
In the center of our galaxy, God dwells upon a planet and his planet is a great urim and thummin and is where he sits upon his throne and presides over his galaxy kingdom. This is the perfection that God experiences, this is the perfection that God envisions for each of the family and seed of the church of the first born. This explains why God, a created being, can have all time before him, past, present and future.
(D&C 130:8 – 9) 8 The place where God resides is a great Urim and Thummim. 9 This earth, in its sanctified and immortal state, will be made like unto crystal and will be a Urim and Thummim to the inhabitants who dwell thereon, whereby all things pertaining to an inferior kingdom, or all kingdoms of a lower order, will be manifest to those who dwell on it; and this earth will be Christ’s.
It is through his perfection that he is able to access the urim and thummim that he is able to know all things, to count all things, to see all things within the creative process of the galaxy kingdom.
(2 Nephi 9:20) 20 O how great the holiness of our God! For he knoweth all things, and there is not anything save he knows it.
God the Father begins his galaxy kingdom with a ruling planet called Kolob, which is the first creation and which begins the galaxy.
(Abraham 2 Fac.:1) 1 Fig. 1. Kolob, signifying the first creation, nearest to the celestial, or the residence of God.
(Abraham 3:2 – 3) 2 And I saw the stars, that they were very great, and that one of them was nearest unto the throne of God; and there were many great ones which were near unto it; 3 And the Lord said unto me: These are the governing ones; and the name of the great one is Kolob, because it is near unto me, for I am the Lord thy God: I have set this one to govern all those which belong to the same order as that upon which thou standest.
Progression of the Planets
Within God’s galaxy there are many solar systems where the telestial planets, like the one we dwell on have existence. These solar systems are in different states of progression. During a vast eternal round some of the solar systems have passed away after which others come into existence. When all the earths that come under the jurisdiction of Christ have passed away, he will present that kingdom to the Father. At that point Christ will then become a God the Father and start his own galaxy.
Moses 1:35 – 39) 35 But only an account of this earth, and the inhabitants thereof, give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away by the word of my power. And there are many that now stand, and innumerable are they unto man; but all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine and I know them. 36 And it came to pass that Moses spake unto the Lord, saying: Be merciful unto thy servant, O God, and tell me concerning this earth, and the inhabitants thereof, and also the heavens, and then thy servant will be content. 37 And the Lord God spake unto Moses, saying: The heavens, they are many, and they cannot be numbered unto man; but they are numbered unto me, for they are mine. 38 And as one earth shall pass away, and the heavens thereof even so shall another come, and there is no end to my works, neither to my words. 39 For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.
There are three different kinds of worlds.
(D&C 78:6 – 7) 6 For if ye are not equal in earthly things ye cannot be equal in obtaining heavenly things; 7 For if you will that I give unto you a place in the celestial world, you must prepare yourselves by doing the things which I have commanded you and required of you.
(D&C 76:71) 71 And again, we saw the terrestrial world, and behold and lo, these are they who are of the terrestrial, whose glory differs from that of the church of the Firstborn who have received the fulness of the Father, even as that of the moon differs from the sun in the firmament.
(D&C 76:109) 109 But behold, and lo, we saw the glory and the inhabitants of the telestial world, that they were as innumerable as the stars in the firmament of heaven, or as the sand upon the seashore;
The three different kinds of worlds, telestial, terrestrial and celestial reckon time differently depending on who dwells on the world and the glory of that world.
(D&C 130:4 – 7) 4 In answer to the question—Is not the reckoning of God’s time, angel’s time, prophet’s time, and man’s time, according to the planet on which they reside? 5 I answer, Yes. But there are no angels who minister to this earth but those who do belong or have belonged to it. 6 The angels do not reside on a planet like this earth; 7 But they reside in the presence of God, on a globe like a sea of glass and fire, where all things for their glory are manifest, past, present, and future, and are continually before the Lord.
Kolob, which is the first creation of God the Father in his galaxy, governs all the planets in their rotations and time. God dwells on a great urim and thummin and doesn’t experience time, only in that he has all time before him, past, present and future.
(Abraham 3:9) 9 And thus there shall be the reckoning of the time of one planet above another, until thou come nigh unto Kolob, which Kolob is after the reckoning of the Lord’s time; which Kolob is set nigh unto the throne of God, to govern all those planets which belong to the same order as that upon which thou standest.
On the planet Kolob which is near the throne of God and governs all the planets which mankind live on there is a thousand to one ratio.
(2 Peter 3:8) 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
When the earth is finished with its telestial round of creation, it will experience a great change, it will be resurrected and become new, it will become a terrestrial planet.
(Ether 13:8 – 9) 8 Wherefore, the remnant of the house of Joseph shall be built upon this land; and it shall be a land of their inheritance; and they shall build up a holy city unto the Lord, like unto the Jerusalem of old; and they shall no more be confounded, until the end come when the earth shall pass away. 9 And there shall be a new heaven and a new earth; and they shall be like unto the old save the old have passed away, and all things have become new.
When the earth is finished with its terrestrial round of creation. it will experience another great change, it will become perfected and reach its immortal and eternal state as a sea of glass, it will become a urim and thummin.
(D&C 77:1) 1 Q. What is the sea of glass spoken of by John, 4th chapter, and 6th verse of the Revelation? A. It is the earth, in its sanctified, immortal, and eternal state.
(Revelation 4:6) 6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
All celestial beings, all those of the church of the firstborn receive a white stone from which they can learn and grow and in the process of eternal rounds they progress to the point of Godhood themselves which is the purpose of it all. Then in this state of perfection the elect seed of God will exist throughout all eternity.
(D&C 130:10 – 11) 10 Then the white stone mentioned in Revelation 2:17, will become a Urim and Thummim to each individual who receives one, whereby things pertaining to a higher order of kingdoms will be made known; 11 And a white stone is given to each of those who come into the celestial kingdom, whereon is a new name written, which no man knoweth save he that receiveth it. The new name is the key word.
(Revelation 2:17) 17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
How Big is the Universe
What is the size of the universe? How big is the universe at this moment? Science cannot know, they don’t have the ability to know. At this point, with the limited abilities they have, they claim the known observable universe is 93 billion light years across. But that is limiting something that has no limits. It is an impossibility to give a size to something that is limitless. There is no end to space. There is no end to the universe. The universe cannot be measured or understood by man. The universe has no end! Man and his science does the best they can, but they are limiting the unlimited universe.
(quora.com) The reason for the difference is that, first of all, 13.8 billion light years is essentially the radius of a sphere of the CMB radiation that is being observed by the WMAP and Planck satellites. Therefore the diameter of that sphere would be 27.6 billion light years. So that brings us a little closer to the diameter of the 93 billion light year of the “observable” universe that is often quoted.
Each of the yellow or red bumps seen on the CMB image below, will, by NOW, 13.8 billion years later, have become a supercluster of galaxies. In the meantime the continued expansion of the universe would have resulted in those superclusters of galaxies being 46.5 billion light years from us at this time.

How Big is the Galaxy
Now here’s a question that is easier to deal with. The galaxy kingdom of God has a beginning and is measurable to God. Astronomers have take pictures of many galaxies, so therefore they can have some idea of how big the galaxy is. But lets be realistic, the Galaxy is big enough to represent an eternity to us. God can count the number of worlds in his galaxy kingdom, science can only imagine and estimate.
(Moses 1:35) 35 But only an account of this earth, and the inhabitants thereof, give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away by the word of my power. And there are many that now stand, and innumerable are they unto man; but all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine and I know them.
A google search brings up the numbers of 100 to 400 billion stars similar to our sun. That is amazingly large and sufficient for an eternity to man.
(Google search) 100 billion stars: In one calculation, the Milky Way has a mass of about 100 billion solar masses, so it is easiest to translate that to 100 billion stars. This accounts for the stars that would be bigger or smaller than our sun, and averages them out. Other mass estimates bring the number up to 400 billion.
(Google search)100 billion planets: The Milky Way contains between 200 and 400 billion stars and at least 100 billion planets. The exact figure depends on the number of very-low-mass stars, which are hard to detect, especially at distances of more than 300 ly (90 pc) from the Sun.
(Google search) there are about 100 billion ( 100,000,000,000.) stars in the MIlky Way galaxy which is only one of about 3,000,000,000,000. galaxies in the known UNIVERSE !!!! It is presently believed that solar systems form around many stars.

William W. Phelps, identifies the length of an eternal round 2,555,000,000 years.
Well, now, Brother William, when the house of Israel begin to come into the glorious mysteries of the kingdom, and find that Jesus Christ, whose goings forth, as the prophets said, have been from old, from eternity; and that eternity, agreeably to the records found in the catacombs of Egypt, has been going on in this system almost two thousand five hundred and fifty five millions of years…
So said William W. Phelps, the Prophet Joseph’s scribe, in a letter to the prophet’s brother, William Smith, in 1844. Shortly thereafter, the Church’s official periodical published Phelps’ statement, with one small addition:
…eternity, agreeably to the records found in the catacombs of Egypt, has been going on in this system (not the world) almost two thousand five hundred and fifty millions of years… Times & Seasons 5 no. 24 (1 Jan. 1844),
(1) Each creative period is the equivalent of 1,000 years of God’s time (not humankind’s) and because the Creation required seven periods (including one of rest), therefore the Creation required 7,000 years of God’s time:
or: 7,000 years (God)/creation (God) (C1)
(2) The reckoning for God’s time is similar to that of human’s time:
or:365 days (God)/1 year (God) (C2)
(3) 1,000 years in human’s time is equivalent to one day in God’s time (Abr. 3:4, 2 Peter 3:8):
or: 1,000 years (humans)/1 day (God) (C3)
Finally, multiplying C1 by C2 by C3, or
[7,000 years (God)/creation (God)] X [365 days (God)/1 year (God)] we get: 2,555,000,000 years (humans)/creation (God)
